New in 2007, this uber-trendy store is a place for the super good looking. When I went, a topless male model stood in the door way and the shop was more like a nightclub with a distinct lack of lighting and loud music blasting. Certainly a unique retail experience.
Fortnum and Mason
Fortnum and Mason – which strictly speaking is on the St James' side of Mayfair’s southern perimeter - was established in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason, which makes it 300 years old this year (2007). It is primarily known as the home of upmarket food and drink, and its famous tea shop but other products are available on other floors. It’s worth using the lifts and the stairs if possible as both are hugely attractive.
