Mount Street Gardens

Mount Street Gardens are a former burial ground of the parish of St George's, Hanover Square. Part of it was also previously used as a workhouse, although this was demolished in 1886 and it was first laid out as a public garden in 1889-1890. In 2007, Mount Street Gardens were awarded a Green Flag Award.

Mount Street Garden Fountain

The fountain, seen in the pictures below, was designed by Sir Ernest George and Harold Peto in 1891. The fountain was restored thanks to donations from local residents, and unveiled by the Duke of Westminster in 2006.
