Firmdale Seeks Location For Mayfair Hotel

CatererSearch.com has reported that hotel company Firmdale is seeking a location in Mayfair for a new hotel. The website quotes owner and chairman, Tim Kemp, as saying:

We are looking for a development site in Mayfair which has luxury hotel potential. The site should be between 50,000 and 100,000sq ft and be freehold or long leasehold.

Firmdale currently seven hotels in central London, in locations like Soho, The Haymarket, Covent Garden and Kensington.

Claridge's To Launch Mineral Water Menu

Legendary Mayfair hotel Claridge's will soon be launching a new "water list", with 30 different varieties of bottled water from around according to a report in the Evening Standard.

The exotic varieties come from places as far afield as India, Newfoundland and New Zealand, with the most expensive one costing the equivalent of £50 per litre.
